In their Investigation of a recent residential burglary .
Sometime between 2pm on March 14 and 9am on March 15: unknown person(s) entered a garage in the 1300 block of South East st. and removed tools.
Among the tools taken were An Electric Grinder, Battery powered Weed Eater/Leaf blower and two battery powered drills. All are the Makita brand.

Copper Thefts are on the rise in the area

Crime Stoppers of Morgan, Scott & Cass Counties are requesting information to assist area Law Enforcement with these Crimes.

Sometime between 5pm on April 1 and 8am on April 3: unknown person(s) damaged a fence to make entry into a business located in the 1900 block of West Lafayette

Upon entry, a Stihl Gas Concrete Saw and 12 AWG of Copper Wire were then removed

Also on April 3; a similar theft was reported to South Jacksonville Police. Unknown person(s) damaged a fence to make entry into a business in the 2100 block of South Main. Cooper wire was then removed there also.

On March 31, Our Savior Church on East State reported Copper Downspouts had been removed

On April 15 at 1:30pm, a Hit & Run was reported at a business located in the 800 block of West Morton. A Newer model Grey Ford Truck struck a parked vehicle and left the scene.
